I’m writing this post on opening night of a show I’m working on.
Opening nights are the best because it’s when every piece of production comes together to do the thing and serve those came to be served.
What if our life could be a life of opening nights?
What if our work could be about bringing all kinds of people together to make the thing?
Opening nights are exciting because you hope the work you did in preparation puts you in a position to best entertain your audience. The reward comes from the gasps, tears, laughter, and applause of people who were moved by your work.
I want my life to be a life of opening nights - in and out of the theater.
